PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

 

Calcium propionate is used as a preservative in feed. It could inhibit feed mildew , prolong shelf life. It could also improve animals’ appetite together with other inorganic salt,
It is used, to prevent milk fever and  increase milk production in cows and as a feed supplement propionate prevent microbes from producing the energy they need, like benzoates do. However, unlike benzoates, propionates do not require an acidic environment.
